Habits of a Successful Beginning Strings Class: Participants will get to have hands on time with the new method, "Habits of a Successful Young String Musician", and go through the highlights of the book with two of the authors (Sarah Ball and Margaret Selby). Tips and tricks for establishing successful habits in beginners will be shared and audience participating is encouraged!

Creating Curricular Alignment that Fosters Student Success in the Orchestra Classroom: Sequential learning from grade to grade and school to school is vital for students' long-term success. In this session, Sound Innovations authors will share how to avoid common performance issues and pedagogical holes by creating curricular alignment across an orchestra program. They will discuss a variety of resources and how to use them to benefit developing string players.

Wee Violin: World Music Preparatory to Twinkle: Say goodbye to months of teaching Twinkle with Crystal Boyack’s Wee Violin, Wee Viola, and Wee Cello books! Boyack’s young students will demonstrate world repertoire and innovative techniques which lay the foundation for Twinkle success. Teachers are welcome to participate by singing, moving and playing along on violin, viola or cello.
