Return: Learn Strings / Student Chapters

ASTA supports an extensive network of student chapters. These chapters create valuable opportunities for professional development, leadership, and lasting relationships between peers and mentors.

ASTA student chapters support your academic studies, power your network, and provide opportunities that will propel your career in strings education. In addition, many student chapters are involved with outreach to provide service to their community and spread the value of music, strings, and string education.

Starting a chapter is as easy as 1, 2, 3:

  1. Select a student chapter president and a faculty advisor
  2. Become Student Member of ASTA
  3. Compile a list of students participating in your chapter
  4. Complete the Student Chapter Registration Form annually and that's it!
