When you attend the National Conference, Virtual Summit, or an ASTA eLearning Webinar, you can earn credit hours to use toward certificate/license renewal and to apply toward college programs!
Professional Development Hours
Attendees will complete a short survey at the end of each session attended (synchronous or asynchronous) to earn 1 or more contact hours of professional development, depending on the event.
College Credits
Shenandoah University offers undergraduate and graduate credit in conjunction with the ASTA National Conference, Virtual Summit, and on-going options. Up to three credits—offered concurrently in three one-credit courses—may be earned at the undergraduate or graduate level. This credit may be used for certificate/license renewal or applied to degree programs. Shenandoah University is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.
Note: This program is administered strictly by Shenandoah University and offered to ASTA members as a member service. Exact requirements and fees are determined and executed solely by the university and are paid directly to them.

2024 ASTA Virtual String Teachers Summit Credits
July 15-16
Shenandoah University will offer undergraduate and graduate credit in conjunction with the American String Teachers Association Virtual String Teachers Summit. Up to two credits, offered concurrently in two individual courses of one credit each, may be earned at the graduate level. This credit may be used for certificate/licensure renewal or applied to degree programs. Shenandoah University is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.
