Angelica Salazar

Angelica Salazar is a professional violinist and violist, private teacher, and composer. She has performed her compositions internationally, and she aspires to create cross-genre music that inspires and unites people from around the world. As a dancer, Angelica explores the connection between rhythm and movement in her musical works.


Angelica has her BM in Violin Performance and she has been both a finalist and a winner in various classical musical competitions. From playing chamber music to soloing with orchestras, she is a dynamic and expressive musician. Her passion for playing folk/fiddle, jazz, pop, contemporary, and improvised music are also distinctive to her unique and versatile style as a performing artist.


As a dedicated and engaged pedagogue, Angelica runs a successful private studio for students of all ages and levels. Many of her students are leaders in their school and community orchestras and some have pursued collegiate music degrees with performance based scholarships. Angelica works as a string and media specialist for the Utah Valley Youth Symphony Orchestra and she has been a faculty member for the Moab Winterlude Music Festival and the Mountain Springs Music Festival. Her passion for teaching is fundamental to her drive to compose and create original music, as she strives to teach her students to channel their own creativity everyday.
