Professional Development Hours


Attendees must complete the post-conference survey to earn a certificate valued at 26 professional development contact hours.


Note: Professional Development recognition is different in each state. Please check with your local school district or state certification office to learn if ASTA's professional development certificates will meet your license renewal requirements.


College Credits


Attend the ASTA National Conference and earn credit hours to use toward certificate/license renewal and to apply toward college programs.


Shenandoah University will offer undergraduate and graduate credit in conjunction with the American String Teachers Association National Conference. One or two credits, offered concurrently in three individual courses of one credit each, may be earned at the undergraduate or graduate level. This credit may be used for certificate/licensure renewal or applied to degree programs. Shenandoah University is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.


Registered participants of the ASTA national conference have the opportunity to also register for 1 or 2 university credits. Download the course syllabus that details the course assignment(s) for credit.
