ASTA Elizabeth A. H. Green School Educator Award
ASTA's Elizabeth A. H. Green School Educator Award is given annually to a school string teacher with a current and distinguished career in a school orchestral setting. Past recipients include Jim Palmer, Scott Laird, Joni Swenson, Bill Bitter, Anne Guevara, Kathryn Hoffer, Steve Reed, Susan Ellington, Mary Lou Jones, Jan Garverick, and Michael Alexander, along with a host of other distinguished string educators.
Congratulations to Denice Haney, winner of the 2019 Elizabeth A. H. Green School Educator Award. Information about the 2020 award will be available in September 2019.
ASTA members making nominations should complete and submit an application form. The criteria for the award include:
- Nominee must have at least 10 years of successful school string/orchestra teaching experience.
- Nominee’s program must be for school-aged children through the 12th grade.
- Nominator and nominee must be ASTA members.
The postmark deadline for nominations is November 1. Late forms will not be accepted.
