In response to requests for a quick and easy automatic membership renewal program, ASTA is offering a new member benefit: ASTA Auto-Renew. The ASTA Auto-Renew Program is a convenient way to automatically renew your ASTA membership before it expires. ASTA Auto-Renew provides two choices of renewal frequency: annual and bi-annual. Choose the frequency that best fits your needs. Set it and forget it - a convenient way to access ASTA benefits anytime during the year.

How to Participate

ASTA Auto-Renew is available when you join or renew your ASTA membership online.

  • Log in to your membership profile on www.astastrings.org.
  • Once logged in, click on My Profile and then click on the Renew Now/Rejoin Now button.
  • Add your membership dues to your cart and go to checkout.
  • On the left hand side, click on Enroll Now to choose the auto-renew option that best fits your preferences.
  • Read the authorization statement, check off the box, and click Save.
  • You're Enrolled!

To add a new payment method for auto-renew, click the Add New option, enter your credit card information, and click Submit. You can update your automatic renewal preferences at any time by logging into your member profile. You will receive a notice in advance of renewal so your account information can be updated if necessary. Otherwise, no action is needed; set it and forget it!

Eligibility Requirements

To be eligible for automatic renewal, you must hold one of the following membership types:

  • Professional
  • Senior (62-years or older)
  • Dual (two members residing at the same residence)
  • Student (full-time student status proof required via unofficial transcript and anticipated graduation year)

ASTA Auto-Renew is not available for Institutional or String Industry Council (SIC) memberships. Special circumstance memberships including Member-get-a-Member program discounts are not eligible.

FAQs

When and how will I be charged?
Enrollment can only happen if you have a balance due, at which point the full amount will be collected. Automatic renewal of membership will occur either annually or bi-annually on the first of the month of membership expiration. You will receive an email receipt to confirm payment. A credit card is required and will be securely stored.

Will I be notified?
Yes! You will receive a reminder at least one month in advance of your scheduled payment processing date.

What if my card is no longer valid?
If we are unable to process your payment, you will be notified by email or phone by an ASTA team member. If your card is not updated within 10 business days of notification, ASTA Auto-Renew will be deactivated and re-enrollment will be required either by phone or online.

Will my membership dues ever change?
ASTA membership rates change periodically. All ASTA members will be notified of any rate changes in writing by ASTA.

Where do I make changes or updates?
Login to your member profile on the ASTA Strings website. You can cancel at any time by contacting ASTA via email at asta@astastrings.org or phone at 703-279-2113. Please note: cancellations must be received within 48 hours of the scheduled bill to date. Following cancellation, members will continue to have access to ASTA benefits through the end of the current membership period.

 

Terms and Conditions

ASTA Auto Renew is an optional service offering convenient and seamless membership renewal automatically. By opting in to ASTA Auto-Renew, you hereby authorize ASTA on an automatic basis to:

  1. Renew your ASTA membership at your current membership category rate, and
  2. Charge the applicable membership rate to the credit card you input online via your member profile.

Should a credit card be declined, you will be notified by email or phone by an ASTA team member. If the payment method is not updated within 10 business days of notification, ASTA Auto-Renew will be deactivated and re-enrollment will be required either by phone or online.

ASTA reserves the right to change annual membership dues rates. Any changes to membership will be communicated to members in writing by mail and/or email notification. If at any time during the membership year eligibility for a particular dues class changes, ASTA Auto-Renew will be deactivated and re-enrollment will be required by phone or online.

Visit your member profile to review enrollment status and to make changes to membership information at any time.Members can un-enroll from ASTA Auto-Renew at any time by contacting ASTA by email at asta@astastrings.org or by phone at 703-279-2113. Cancellations must be received within 48 hours of the members' bill date.* Following cancellation, members will continue to have access to ASTA benefits through the end of the current membership period. Membership period is defined as the length of time for which ASTA has processed membership dues.

*On or near the membership expiration date each year, automatic renewal will be processed the first week of the month of expiration. The credit card on file will be charged and members will receive an email receipt confirming payment. Members will receive a notification at least one month in advance of dues payment processing. If you do not wish to proceed with ASTA Auto-Renew for an upcoming membership year, you must opt out within 24 hours of the scheduled bill to date by contacting ASTA by email at asta@astastrings.org or by phone at 703-279-2113.
