George Bornoff Memorial Scholarships


Scholarships will be awarded to attend the 2023 ASTA National Conference in Orlando, Florida

Applicants must be a string teacher in the first eight years of teaching and have a current ASTA membership. Special consideration is given to applicants who teach traditionally underserved populations.

Professional Development Hours and College Credits

Professional Development Hours

Attendees must complete the post-conference survey to earn a certificate valued at 20 professional development contact hours.

College Credits

Attend the ASTA National Conference and earn credit hours to use toward certificate/license renewal and to apply toward college programs.

Shenandoah University offers undergraduate and graduate credit in conjunction with the ASTA National Conference. Up to three credits—offered concurrently in three one-credit courses—may be earned at the undergraduate or graduate level. This credit may be used for certificate/license renewal or applied to degree programs. Shenandoah University is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.
