Description
Bridging the Gap: Utilizing Music Therapy Techniques in Teaching Strings

Relationships are a part of every teaching experience, and they follow us inside and outside of our teaching realms. As string teachers, we need to be aware of who we are to each individual we encounter, and what each student does for us. This session will focus on how to use music therapy practices in string teaching environments, specifically addressing adaptive teaching styles, the significance of closure, how to handle certain behaviors, utilizing active listening, the importance consistency, and self-care.
