Acoustical Physics and Advanced Violin Technique

Violinists spend many years focusing on technique, but there are very few road maps when it comes to the most challenging college and professional repertoire. How can we use a basic knowledge of acoustical physics to inform our teaching, gain efficient technique, and develop mature musicality for ourselves and for our students?  This lecture will explore the basic concepts related to the acoustical physics of the violin and the bow and how to use them in coordination with human body mechanics to optimize performance and pedagogy techniques.
